Overview A global blockchain and digital assets company is seeking a senior
Compliance Specialist/Program Manager
to help rebuild and modernize its compliance program.
This role is ideal for a compliance professional with deep expertise in crypto, fintech, and global regulatory frameworks who can design a practical, risk‑aligned program tailored to a decentralized technology environment. The successful candidate will work cross‑functionally with legal, product, and engineering teams to embed scalable compliance solutions across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive compliance program from the ground up
Interpret and apply global digital asset regulatory frameworks, including FATF Travel Rule, FinCEN guidance, and MiCA
Assess current compliance and regulatory risk exposure and develop scalable mitigation strategies
Partner with legal, product, and engineering stakeholders to integrate compliance considerations into operational workflows
Advise on compliance issues related to blockchain technologies, including smart contracts, Layer 2 solutions, and self‑custodial wallets
Develop practical policies, procedures, and controls aligned with the company’s business model and risk profile
Support ongoing compliance modernization initiatives in a fast‑moving, globally distributed environment
Qualifications
7+ years of compliance experience within financial services, fintech, crypto, or digital assets
Deep familiarity with global crypto regulatory frameworks, including FATF, FinCEN, MiCA, and SEC/CFTC positions on digital assets
Strong understanding of blockchain technology, including smart contracts, Layer 2 infrastructure, and self‑custody models
Demonstrated experience building or significantly enhancing compliance programs
Ability to balance regulatory obligations with practical business and operational considerations
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, ambiguous, remote‑first environments
