Title:
Strategic Account Manager – West Location:
Remote role, located anywhere in the Western U.S.; responsible for servicing the Western region. Responsibilities
Call on, build business, and develop relationships with a designated group of Tier 1 and Tier 2 key chain accounts. Demonstrate and uphold Riverside’s Core Values, mission, and vision. Build and strengthen relationships across customers, brokers, and distributor partners. Educate distributors, brokers, sales agents and customers on product attributes and benefits while displaying HUMILITY. Develop and manage collaborative partnerships and joint business plans with key customers; create and present customer-specific programs to drive strong velocities. Develop and drive strategic plans to meet or exceed revenue goals; engage broker partners and customers in planning processes. Provide key inputs for demand planning and own the bottoms-up forecast for the S&OP process for each account; manage forecasting accurately. Analyze quantitative sales data, respond to trends and competitive threats, and adjust plans to support RNF brands. Present customer-specific presentations; enable brokers and distributors to execute plans effectively. Execute distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing strategies in collaboration with internal teams and retailers. Present innovations in a timely manner and create speed-to-market plans. Collaborate on marketing programs with customers and RNF US Marketing team; manage trade spend against budgets; ensure trade compliance and timely deductions processing. Communicate account activity/results through internal processes; conduct quarterly business reviews and monthly updates with internal teams and customers. Maintain strong partnerships with broker partners; demonstrate ownership of customer relationships and market understanding. Attend designated trade shows and events; maintain a positive, fun work atmosphere. Travel may be 50%+ as required. Other duties as assigned. Education & Qualifications
College degree in Business or related field preferred. 6+ years of progressive sales experience; experience in the organic/health food industry is a plus. Skills and Abilities
Proven ability to creatively solve problems and implement solutions; strong presentation, negotiation, and listening skills. Strong teamwork orientation; excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills; proficient with MS Office; ability to adapt communication style by audience. Tech-savvy with sales-related software; resilient and resourceful in selling; energetic, passionate, competitive. High integrity and professional ethics; capable of building and maintaining productive relationships with key partners. Ability to make informed decisions using data, experience, and judgment; self-starter and highly self-motivated; comfortable with business analytics and understanding financials.
