Our client, a respected national General Contractor, is actively seeking a
Traveling Superintendent
to lead field operations on industrial and large-scale warehouse/distribution center projects nationwide. Think
Amazon-style fulfillment centers, logistics hubs, tilt-wall warehouses, and complex industrial builds . This position is a
true road warrior role
— 100% travel. If you thrive in the field, enjoy taking ownership of projects from dirt to turnover, and are energized by being where the action is, this could be an outstanding fit. You’ll be the boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for safety, schedule, quality, and driving successful execution from mobilization through punch list. What You’ll Do
Lead all daily field operations from site mobilization through final closeout. Build, maintain, and aggressively drive project schedules to meet milestones.s Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and self-perform crews Run daily huddles, subcontractor meetings, and owner/client walkthroughs Enforce site safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance Manage quality control, inspections, and punch list completion Partner closely with Project Managers on RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation Maintain organized, professional, high-performing job sites Solve problems quickly in the field while keeping production moving Represent the company professionally with clients, inspectors, and trade partners What We’re Looking For
7+ years of commercial construction field experience 3+ years as a Superintendent with a General Contractor Experience leading
ground-up industrial, warehouse, distribution center, or large-box commercial projects Proven success in managing fast-paced schedules and multiple trades simultaneously Strong knowledge of construction means/methods and sequencing Experience with
Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project or Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, and DocuSign Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and construction documents OSHA 30 required (or ability to obtain quickly) First Aid / CPR preferred Strong leadership style — firm, fair, accountable, and collaborative Must-Have Mindset
Able to live on the road for extended durations Adaptable, self-sufficient, and highly organized Takes pride in owning the site and delivering results Calm under pressure and solution-oriented Physical Requirements
Full-time presence on active construction sites Frequent walking job sites (1–2+ miles daily) Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding Ability to lift materials/equipment as needed Why This Opportunity
