Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced
ServiceNow ITAM Consultant
to lead and support enterprise IT Asset Management (ITAM) implementations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in
Hardware Asset Management (HAM Pro)
and/or
Software Asset Management (SAM Pro)
with active
CIS certification(s) .
This role requires hands‑on configuration experience, strong client‑facing skills, and the ability to guide customers through ITAM lifecycle transformation aligned with ServiceNow leading practices.
Mandatory Certifications Active
CIS-HAM
(Certified Implementation Specialist – Hardware Asset Management)
AND/OR
Active
CIS-SAM
(Certified Implementation Specialist – Software Asset Management)
(Profiles without CIS certification will not be considered.)
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical design and implementation of ServiceNow HAM Pro and/or SAM Pro solutions.
Configure core ITAM functionality including:
License metric configuration (user, device, core-based)
Normalization and reconciliation
Conduct workshops and discovery sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
Provide best‑practice recommendations and advise on risks of over‑customization.
Design and implement automation for hardware and software asset lifecycle management.
Integrate ITAM with ITSM, CMDB, Procurement, and external vendor systems.
Support audit readiness, compliance reporting, and software optimization initiatives.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and assist in story refinement and backlog grooming.
Act as ITAM SME and mentor junior team members.
Required Experience
5+ years of ServiceNow platform experience.
3+ years of dedicated ITAM (HAM Pro/SAM Pro) implementation experience.
Strong understanding of:
CMDB & Discovery
Contract Management
Software compliance and audit defense
Experience with integrations (ERP, SCCM, Intune, JAMF, etc.) preferred.
Preferred
Experience with Performance Analytics dashboards for ITAM reporting.
ITIL certification.
Experience in large enterprise or federal implementations.
