Territory Sales Specialist - Wound Care About the Role Essity is looking for an experienced Territory Sales Specialist to manage and increase sales of the Essity Advanced Wound Care product portfolio within its assigned geographic territory. The role focuses on driving performance across acute care, surgical areas, and wound care centers, targeting key accounts throughout the continuum of care.
Role is remote, covering Minnesota and Iowa, with the ideal candidate living in the Minneapolis area or within the Essity Regional structure. Frequent travel to the territory is required.
What You Will Do
Meet or exceed sales targets driven by key account closes and competitive conversions in the healthcare market.
Effectively communicate and utilize clinical and product knowledge.
Conduct customer needs assessments and develop solutions.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders in targeted accounts.
Interact with advanced practice clinicians—including surgeons, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, WOCNs, and nurses—to shape product choice decisions.
Execute the sales process end‑to‑end.
Implement contracts and penetrate key GPO and IDN awards.
Maintain and increase penetration in existing accounts and health‑care systems.
Coordinate opportunities internally and externally with customers.
Plan and target territory and accounts, including pre‑ and post‑call planning.
Complete all administrative duties accurately and on time.
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree required.
At least 3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in healthcare; experience in wound care or surgical markets is a plus.
Preference for experience in business‑to‑business sales.
Self‑motivated, independent, competitive, tenacious, high integrity, fearless, strategic, passionate, and a team player.
Open to overnight travel, weekend work, and evenings (approximately 25‑35% of time).
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics) is recommended.
Compensation and Benefits $70,000 – $85,000 annual base salary plus sales incentive and benefits. Pay may vary based on individual factors.
