divh2Medical Assistant/h2pThe Medical Assistant is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams in ambulatory, outpatient, clinic, or specialty care settings. The MA assists with patient intake, basic clinical procedures, documentation, scheduling, and maintaining efficient patient flow while ensuring high standards of patient care, safety, and confidentiality./ph3Essential Duties and Responsibilities/h3ulliPrepare patients for examinations and procedures by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and documenting patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)./liliAssist physicians and clinical staff during examinations, treatments, and minor procedures./liliPerform routine clinical tasks including injections, specimen collection, EKGs, point-of-care testing, wound care, and medication administration as permitted by state regulations and organizational policy./liliSchedule appointments, coordinate referrals, verify insurance information, and assist with patient registration and discharge processes./liliMaintain exam rooms, medical equipment, and clinical supplies in a clean, organized, and fully stocked condition./liliEnsure compliance with infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and safety standards./liliEducate patients regarding medications, procedures, treatment plans, and discharge instructions under the direction of licensed healthcare providers./liliCommunicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff./liliDocument patient care activities accurately and timely within the electronic medical record system./liliRespond professionally to patient inquiries and assist in resolving routine patient concerns./liliSupport overall clinic operations and maintain efficient patient flow throughout the workday./li/ulh3Minimum Qualifications/h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent required./liliCompletion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred./liliCurrent Medical Assistant certification or registration preferred (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent)./liliCurrent BLS/CPR certification required./liliMinimum of one (1) year of recent Medical Assistant experience preferred./liliExperience with EMR systems and basic medical terminology required./li/ulpShift: 8am-2pm/ph3Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities/h3ulliStrong interpersonal and communication skills./liliAbility to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment./liliKnowledge of clinical procedures, infection control practices, and patient confidentiality requirements./liliProficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records./liliAbility to maintain professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail while delivering patient-centered care./li/ulpWork Environment/ppThis position may require prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, and assisting patients throughout the shift.
