Über

Methodist Health System is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Tech RDMS RVT to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our hospital-based imaging department. In this role, you will perform high-quality general and vascular diagnostic ultrasound examinations to support accurate diagnosis and exceptional patient care. Working in a fast-paced clinical environment, you will collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to deliver timely, reliable imaging services for patients across a wide range of ages and clinical conditions.
As an Ultrasound Tech with RDMS and RVT credentials, you will be responsible for independently performing a variety of general, abdominal, small parts, obstetric/gynecologic, and vascular ultrasound studies using advanced sonographic equipment. You will obtain and optimize images according to established protocols, apply Doppler and duplex techniques where appropriate, and recognize normal and abnormal findings to ensure that complete and accurate studies are provided for interpretation. You will prepare and position patients, verify patient identity and exam orders, explain procedures in a compassionate and clear manner, and maintain patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the exam.
You will document all required exam information in the electronic medical record and imaging systems, ensuring that measurements, observations, and technical impressions are accurately recorded and communicated. You will follow department protocols and accreditation standards, adhere to infection prevention and safety policies, and assist with quality control and equipment care by reporting and helping troubleshoot issues as they arise. Collaboration is essential in this role; you will regularly communicate with radiologists and ordering providers regarding urgent or unexpected findings and work closely with nursing and other clinical staff to coordinate imaging for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients.

This full-time, on-site position is based in our Healthcare & Medical Services department and may include rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call responsibilities to support 24/7 patient care needs.
