* JOB RELATIONSHIPS
* Responsible to Cardiopulmonary Services Clinical Director.
* DEFINITION OF POSITION
* A Registered Cardiac Sonographer who is responsible for performing echocardiograms, transthoracic echos and stress tests.
* QUALIFICATIONS
* Professional
* Demonstrates competence as a Cardiac Sonographer.
* Registered as RDCS or RCS
* Must strive to continue the educational process to maintain current practices
* Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
* Good verbal/written skills
* Working Conditions:
* Generally comfortable surroundings.
* Extensive walking and standing.
* Variable work hours expected (4-12 shifts).
* Exposure to infectious diseases.
* Exposure to radiation.
* Moderate noise.
* Exposure to air borne particles.
* Exposure to caustic chemicals.
* Risk of electrical shock.
