Senior Supervising Social Worker

Contract: 12-month fixed term

Salary: Up to £40,081.10 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Senior Supervising Social Worker to join our friendly team and help us enhance our fostering services in the Leicestershire and Peterborough areas.

This is a home-based position with occasional travel to Peterborough for team meetings and support groups. You will also visit foster families in their homes, primarily in the Leicestershire area.

• Support foster parents to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in care.
• Supervise and monitor the suitability of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Provide regular supervision in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
• Collaborate with the foster family network to identify needs and resources.
• Ensure compliance with documentation for each child and foster parent.
• Attend meetings and provide reports for Commissioning Teams.
• Encourage participation of children/young people in agency development.
• Participate in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
• Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.

• A Social Work qualification.
• Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
• Willingness to travel across the Leicestershire/Peterborough/Lincs area.
• A full driving licence.
