Senior Supervising Social Worker

Position: Senior Supervising Social Worker (12-month fixed term)
Salary: Up to £40,081.10 per annum, based on experience
Location: Home-based, supporting our foster parents in Peterborough

As a Senior Supervising Social Worker, you will:

• Support foster parents to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in care.
• Supervise and monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Provide regular supervision in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
• Collaborate with the foster family and child’s network to identify needs and resources.
• Ensure compliance with documentation for each child and foster parent.
• Attend meetings and provide reports for Commissioning Teams.
• Encourage participation of children/young people in agency development and community resources.
• Participate in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
• Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.

• A Social Work qualification.
• Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the Yorkshire/Humberside/Lincs area.
• Confidence in transporting children in challenging situations.
• A full driving licence.
