About the Role
Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Group / Intercompany Accountant will be responsible for accounting and reporting across multiple markets and group entities. This is a key finance role sitting at the heart of BEC's global consolidation and intercompany accounting activities. Working with all levels of the organisation, the role combines group accounting with a collaborative, hands‑on approach. This is a hybrid role based in Dublin, with an office on Baggot Street Lower.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and reconcile cost recharges across multiple intercompany entities
- Processing and allocating invoices and bank payments in accordance with group structure and chart of accounts
- Preparation and completion of the monthly close process, ensuring on‑time delivery of financial reporting
- Bank reconciliations across multiple currencies and group entities
- Reconciliation of accruals, prepayments, tax accounts and other balance sheet accounts
- Responsible for preparation of intercompany loan and transfer pricing documentation and capital account maintenance
- Work closely with third‑party providers and Joint venture partners to ensure reporting received is accurate and provided to the requisite levels
- Preparation of Tax filings (VAT, VIES, ERR)
- Consolidation of Group results, including FX translations and delivery of quarterly financial statements
- Assist in the streamlining and design of finance processes and further enhancing financial reporting capabilities
About You
Excel and navigating multiple systems come as second nature, and you get enjoyment from building relationships and reconciling complex accounts across a group structure. You have a genuine interest and proven track record in core accounting and intercompany reporting. Your communication style has built and maintained productive professional relationships across a global organisation; your coworkers would work with you again in a heartbeat.
- Part‑qualified or fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum 4-5 years' experience in a busy finance department, ideally with group or intercompany accounting exposure
- Strong working knowledge of accounting standards, with experience in consolidation accounting
- Strong understanding of intercompany transactions, cost recharges, and capital accounts
- Experience working with multiple currency entities
- Advanced Excel and accounting software experience required; proficiency in navigating multiple systems
- Attention to accuracy and detail, with strong ability to organise and manage financial data clearly
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with service providers, third party administrators, and team members across a global organisation
- Analytical thinking and the ability to resolve discrepancies in financial records
- Ability to work autonomously and take work to completion with minimal support
- Inquisitive with a desire to innovate and make processes more efficient
- Experience in renewable energy preferred
