About Us

Founded in 1994 by a former foster parent and social worker, Foster Care Associates (FCA) is a leading fostering agency that is part of the Polaris Community—one of the UK's largest networks of children's service providers. Our mission is simple: to create positive and lasting changes in the lives of looked-after children.

From our humble beginnings in Worcestershire, we've grown into one of the country's most experienced independent fostering agencies, all while maintaining a close-knit and supportive culture. At FCA, we are committed to supporting every child and foster parent every day.

Your Role

As a Senior Supervising Social Worker, you will:

  • Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
  • Supervise, support, and monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Ensure foster carers understand their roles and responsibilities, including FCA policies and procedures.
  • Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
  • Work collaboratively to identify needs within foster families, contributing to meetings and agreed actions.
  • Maintain compliant records for each child and foster parent.
  • Attend meetings and provide reports for commissioning teams regarding individual care packages.
  • Promote the participation of children and young people in agency development and community resources.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
  • Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F assessments.
What You Bring

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A Social Work qualification.
  • Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • The willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Yorkshire/Humberside/Lincs area.
  • Confidence in transporting children and young people in potentially challenging situations.
  • A full UK driving licence.
Why Join Us?

At FCA, we value our team members and offer:

  • A supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • Flexibility to balance work and personal life.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.

If you're excited about making a difference and want to be part of a dedicated team, we would love to hear from you! Apply now and take the next step in your career with Foster Care Associates.
