We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and prepared for timely delivery. This position involves working closely with various departments to manage inventory, prepare shipping labels, and coordinate with carriers. Your responsibilities will include verifying order accuracy, inspecting goods for damage, and maintaining organized shipping areas. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment, and all employees are required to adhere to our strict safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. The ability to perform moderate Lifting is necessary, as you may be handling packages of varying sizes and weights. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a leading logistics company.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately document and process all outgoing shipments.
- Verify order contents against shipping manifests.
- Prepare shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and clean shipping and receiving areas.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Operate shipping equipment as needed, ensuring proper Safety.
- Assist with inventory management and stock checks.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Safety regulations.
- Utilize the company's logistics software for tracking and data entry.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to perform Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to Safety and proper use of PPE.
