Join our bustling warehouse operations in Los Angeles, California as a Shipping Clerk! We are looking for an organized and efficient individual to manage the preparation and dispatch of customer orders. This role is fundamental to our Logistics chain, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and on time. You will be responsible for handling shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining a high level of accuracy in all shipping-related tasks. Your dedication to Safety and efficiency will be highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Process and document all outgoing shipments accurately.
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary paperwork.
- Arrange for package pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Inspect packages to ensure they are correctly labeled and securely packaged.
- Maintain up-to-date shipping records and tracking information.
- Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all warehouse Safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and stocking incoming goods when necessary.
- Identify and report any issues related to shipments or inventory.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a related Logistics role is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability for light to moderate Lifting of packages.
- A strong commitment to workplace Safety and following guidelines.
- Proficiency in using basic computer applications.
