At Brien Contracting, we are looking for a driven and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As a leader, you will be at the forefront of managing complex commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring each project is delivered on time, within budget, and upholds our reputation for quality and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is not only experienced in managing large-scale commercial construction projects but is also passionate about leadership, innovation, and building lasting relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Relations & Stakeholder Management
Act as a Client Experience Advocate, maintaining proactive and positive working relationships with clients, architects, and design professionals.
Ensure seamless communication between all project stakeholders to foster collaboration and resolve issues swiftly.
2. Project Scheduling & Execution
Develop and manage a comprehensive Master Construction Schedule in collaboration with the Project Superintendent, ensuring all milestones align with project specifications and deadlines.
Track project progress proactively and adjust strategies to ensure on-time delivery.
3. Subcontractor & Vendor Management
Lead the procurement process for all materials, labor, and equipment, focusing on quality, budget, and timeline alignment.
Negotiate and award subcontracts and purchase orders, ensuring subcontractors meet qualifications and bid responsiveness.
Engage in value-engineering to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
4. Document & Submittal Review
Review all incoming submittals (product data, shop drawings) for compliance with contract documents and address any deficiencies or opportunities for improvement.
Approve and forward submittal packages to design representatives, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
5. Financial Oversight & Administration
Lead project billing processes, drafting change events or orders and ensuring weekly or daily reviews and updates with the client.
Approve project payables and manage costs to maintain financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Project Control Systems & Compliance
Maintain accuracy in PROCORE, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and filed appropriately.
Conduct regular OAC meetings with clients and design/architecture teams, documenting minutes and ensuring transparency at every phase of the project.
7. Team Leadership & Development
Inspire and manage a high-performing project team, ensuring all members are aligned with project goals and timelines.
Conduct performance reviews, create Individual Development Plans, and collaborate with supervisors to make strategic staffing decisions.
8. Safety Leadership
Champion a culture of safety by ensuring all internal teams and subcontractors adhere to Brien Contracting’s safety standards on all job sites.
Proactively identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction (Hospitality, TI’s, Healthcare, Ground Up experience is preferred.)
Proficiency in construction management software (PROCORE preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, and quality control.
A proactive, problem-solving, solutions mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
Valid Driver's License (Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP certification is a plus.
Familiarity with LEED or sustainability practices.
