Senior Accountant

We are currently supporting a well-established, progressive Irish accountancy practice in Oranmore, Co. Galway with the appointment of a Senior Accountant.

This opportunity sits within a technically strong, systems-driven firm that services a diverse portfolio of Irish businesses and places genuine emphasis on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

As Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of client deliverables and technical output, working closely with the Partner and senior leadership team to maintain high professional standards across the practice.

You will also play an important role in mentoring junior staff, improving internal systems and workflows, and contributing to the firm’s ongoing growth and operational development.

• Preparation and review of statutory financial statements and management accounts
  
• Oversight of VAT, payroll, and wider compliance obligations
  
• Providing clear, technically sound advice to a varied client portfolio
  
• Supporting systems improvements, workflow efficiencies, and automation initiatives
  
• Supervising, mentoring, and developing junior team members
  
• Ensuring delivery of work to high technical and professional standards
  

• 
  
• ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualified
  
• Minimum 3+ years’ post-qualification experience
  
• At least 4+ years’ experience within a UK or Irish accountancy practice
  
• Strong knowledge of Irish xcfaprz accounting standards, compliance, and reporting requirements
  
• Excellent organisation, communication, and client-facing skills
  
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Oranmore, Galway
