  • Candidate must have completed a CT Surgery fellowship and be proficient in coronary artery bypass grafting, mitral valve and aortic valve replacements, and experienced in TAVR procedures working with a skilled structural heart team, and additional minimally invasive and open surgical capabilities
  • Competitive base salary ($850K first-year guarantee) with competitive tiered wRVU compensation
  • Call pay salary with schedule of 1:3
  • Additional Quality bonus up to $50,000

  • Call coverage is anticipated 1:3 weekday/weekend call
  • 2 surgeons supported by 3 surgical PAs in the clinic setting and hospital setting
  • Successful outreach clinics staffed by the Deaconess Heart Group Office in Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois
  • Two dedicated OR suites at the Gateway hospitals with construction anticipated to be complete fall of 2025 on a hybrid OR suite.
  • Dedicated office based device staff to manage incoming referrals and scheduling
  • Established lead extraction program
  • High volume surgical program with physicians working above the 75 th percentile
  • Evansville/Henderson is a strong community with robust local economy and high performing schools. Great area for hunting, fishing, watersports, and families. Low cost of living and close proximity to other large cities: Louisville, Nashville, St. Louis and Indianapolis are all within 2 hour drive or less
  • Evansville Regional Airport with direct connections to 5 major hubs: Detroit, Charlotte, Chicago, Atlanta and Dallas
Full-time position at 40 hours per week. This is an inpatient and outpatient practice. Deaconess Specialty Physicians is a multi-specialty group that is part of the largest independent not-for-profit Deaconess Health System. Ambulatory sites are located in Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky. Together, our combined cardiology practice of 31 Physicians (including 2 CV surgeons, 1 vascular surgeon, 12 interventional cardiologists, 12 noninvasive cardiologists, and 4 electrophysiologists) and 20+ Advanced Practice Providers we provide access to more technology and locations within a unified health system with greater choice in health care than anyone else in the region Deaconess Health System employs greater than 1,000 clinicians (physicians and advanced practice providers), across three states and 20 hospitals serving a market of 1.5 million patients. With our large primary care physician base and referral area there is opportunity to build a successful practice quickly.
