DATA ANALYST FOR BUSINESS UNITS WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? Join our dynamic team as a Data Analyst for Business Units, where you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance group and business users through comprehensive data analysis. You will engage in both quantitative and qualitative analysis to contribute to the creation of innovative data solutions and reporting frameworks. Your expertise will help in converting complex business challenges into actionable data-driven strategies, leveraging your analytical skills and effective communication. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Collaborate with Business Users to define and document precise business requirements necessary for implementing subject areas in the Enterprise Data Warehouse and associated reports.
Utilize your expertise in SQL to perform in-depth data analysis across various systems and the data warehouse, identifying trends and anomalies critical for strategic and tactical initiatives.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for specific systems and their data, guiding development efforts with a strong understanding of assumptions and data dependencies.
Identify and address data quality issues, actively participating in our data governance initiatives and other related projects.
Conduct ongoing analysis of business operations and data flows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across different systems and applications.
Assist in maintaining both the Operational Data Store (ODS) and the analytical Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) data model as needed.
Stay current with best practices, industry standards, and evolving technologies to bring innovative ideas to the team.
Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues to ensure high customer service levels are achieved.
Engage in professional development by fulfilling training and continuing education requirements related to internal programs and external certifications.
Foster positive and professional relationships with key business partners to meet and exceed expected customer service standards.
Ensure compliance with all Bank Operational policies and regulatory requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act and Fair Lending Practices.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or related fields strongly preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in Information Technologies.
A minimum of 5 years of analytical experience, ideally within a data-driven financial environment.
Minimum of 3 years in a client-facing role providing business support.
Additional Qualifications Hands-on experience with SQL, Tableau, or Business Objects is advantageous.
Experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus.
Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret complex data effectively.
Familiarity with project management techniques.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts in business terms.
Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $87,027 - $138,965 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
