We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and oral health evaluations.
* Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing procedures to maintain optimal oral hygiene.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
* Document patient treatments and progress accurately in the electronic health record system (OpenDental).
* Review documentation to ensure compliance with dental regulations and standards.
* Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures as needed, providing compassionate care to younger patients.
* Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
* Stay updated on medical terminology, dental terminology, and advancements in dental hygiene practices.
*Experience*
* A valid Dental Hygienist license is required.
* Experience in a dental clinic or office setting is preferred.
* Familiarity with medical coding and documentation review is a plus.
* Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry is essential.
* Previous experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable but not mandatory.
* Anesthesia license highly preferred
