We are looking for a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our logistics hub in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of our shipping operations, ensuring that all outgoing orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company and carrier standards. Your attention to detail will be critical in preparing documentation, coordinating with carriers, and managing the final stages of our order fulfillment process.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL) for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Verify shipment contents against order details, ensuring accuracy before dispatch.
- Inspect outgoing packages for damage or discrepancies.
- Maintain shipping logs and update tracking information in our logistics system.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipping status and issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in logistics or business is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and general computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Familiarity with safety standards and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light to moderate lifting as required.
