We're looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team at Sidney Harbour Dental, a proud part of the Passion Dental Group. Specifics about the role:

  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:45 to 5:00
  • Wage: $34.00 to $38.00/ hour, depending on experience.

About the Clinic:

Sidney Harbour Dental is a state-of-the-art, patient-centered dental practice located in Sidney, BC. We provide comprehensive, risk-based dental care in a brand-new facility, with a strong hygiene program and a supportive, community-focused environment. Our team is dedicated to delivering outstanding care while fostering a positive workplace culture.

What you'll do:

  • Assist the dentist chairside during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms following strict infection control protocols.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and dental procedures.
  • Take and develop X-rays (if certified) and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Support front desk operations as needed, including scheduling and patient communication.
  • Contribute to a positive, patient-focused clinic environment.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Experience as a Dental Assistant (preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals willing to learn).
  • Certification as a Dental Assistant with BCCOHP
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, you're as good at explaining care as you are at providing it.
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills, and you're comfortable managing a busy schedule with ease.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit clinical team.
  • Comfort with dental software systems and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience is a bonus
