We are looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our team in Sacramento, California. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a key role in preparing and processing outbound shipments, ensuring they are accurate, correctly labeled, and dispatched on time. Your role is critical to the efficiency of our logistics operations and the satisfaction of our customers. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to adhering to shipping procedures and safety standards. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outbound shipments accurately.
- Verify shipping orders against packed items to ensure correctness.
- Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup schedules.
- Ensure packages are properly secured, labeled, and staged for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Update tracking information and shipping logs in the system.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with other shipping and receiving duties as needed to support logistics operations.
- Communicate any shipping issues or delays to management and relevant parties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or a related logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and scanning equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with logistics procedures and safety practices.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and using PPE.
