Border Protection Officer

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing the unlawful entry of non-citizens into the United States by patrolling international borders and coastal waterways using a variety of government assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, etc.
• Loading search dogs for use in detecting illegal aliens crossing border areas.

• You must be at least 21 years old. You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years.
  general work experience demonstrating sound decision making skills in stressful situations with an ability to learn regulations through training instruction would qualify you.
  The duty is critical due to dealing directly with smugglers who may carry weapons or explosives which demands swift thinking reacting appropriately ensuring everyone's safety potentially saving lives.
