Our Las Vegas, Nevada facility is seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of all outbound shipments. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be integral to our logistics operations, managing documentation, packaging, and coordination with carriers. Responsibilities:
- Prepare all necessary shipping documentation, including labels, manifests, and bills of lading.
- Verify the contents of outgoing shipments against order records for accuracy.
- Package items safely and appropriately for transit, selecting the correct materials.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for shipment pickups and track deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and update the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, contributing to the overall logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a similar role is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and common carrier platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and maneuver packages up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
