Anchorage Children's Home is a non-profit organization committed to being "An Anchor for today's children, strengthening tomorrow's families." Since 1983, we have continued to expand our reach to provide safety, stability, and support to abused, neglected, homeless, and at-risk children, youth, and families across Bay, Calhoun, Holmes, Gulf, Washington, and Jackson counties.

We offer a nationally accredited continuum of care that includes emergency shelter services, transitional living, maternity housing for pregnant and parenting youth, counseling, case management, and outreach to at-risk and homeless youth. Our mission is grounded in Christian values—hope, caring, respect, responsibility, equality, integrity, leadership, humility, and self-discipline – and are reflected in everything we do.

Position Summary
The Executive Director works in partnership with the Board of Directors and agency staff to provide vision, leadership, and operational oversight. This role is responsible for organizational strategy, program development, financial stewardship, community partnerships, fundraising oversight and collaboration, and staff leadership—ensuring Anchorage continues to deliver high-quality, meaningful services.

Key Responsibilities

· Uphold and promote the mission, values, and culture of Anchorage Children's Home.

· Lead and motivate a diverse team, ensuring effective staffing structures, supervision, and performance development.

· Oversee all programs and services, ensuring quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

· Provide responsible financial management, including annual budget development, cash flow planning, internal reporting, and long-term sustainability planning.

· Deliver oversight and work collaboratively on fundraising strategies, donor engagements, and grant development to strengthen and sustain programs.

· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements and maintain ethical standards across the organization.

· Partner with the Board in strategic planning and implementation of organizational priorities.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, policymakers, and stakeholders.

· Support the Board of Directors through effective communication, structure, and collaboration.

· Develop and support current and future organizational leadership.

Required Qualifications

· Master's degree in a field related to children and family services and 5+ years of leadership experience,
OR

· Bachelor's degree in a related field with 10+ years of experience, including leadership, and active enrollment in a related graduate program.
