Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a passionate and strategic
Community Engagement and Philanthropy Manager
to lead initiatives that foster community relationships, drive corporate social responsibility (CSR), and amplify our philanthropic impact within the
Metro Atlanta
area. This role will design and implement programs that align with GHD's mission of creating lasting community benefit and reflect our values by promoting inclusivity, sustainability, and social responsibility.

Responsibilities will include developing and executing a comprehensive community engagement strategy, building partnerships with local organizations, schools, and nonprofits, and organizing volunteer programs, pro bono design projects, and community service events. You will represent GHD at community events and industry conferences while managing philanthropic and CSR efforts such as charitable giving programs, budget allocation, and impact reporting. Additionally, you will identify nonprofit partners for sponsorships and collaborative initiatives, oversee employee giving campaigns and matching gift programs, and collaborate with HR and Marketing to promote engagement opportunities through newsletters, social media and GHD's website.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Document Preparation: Write and edit material for various target populations, tailoring the tone and content to match the needs and expectations of each audience.
• External Communications: Develop and/or deliver a plan for significant aspects of external communications
• Stakeholder Engagement: Develop stakeholder engagement by identifying stakeholders; by finding out their needs, issues, and concerns; and by reacting to these needs, issues, and concerns to support the communication of business information and decisions.
• Content Creation: Write and edit creative content for various target audiences in line with organizational brand guidelines to publish on websites and in print.
• Operational Compliance: Monitor and review performance and behaviors within area of responsibility to identify and resolve noncompliance with the organization's policies and relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct.

What you'll bring to the team:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in community engagement, philanthropy, or CSR
• Strong relationship-building and networking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Experience managing budgets and reporting on program outcomes
• Familiarity with architecture, engineering, or design industry preferred
