Automotive Service Advisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services. Your expertise in automotive repair and exceptional communication skills will help ensure a seamless service experience for our clients. You will be responsible for assessing customer needs, providing accurate service recommendations, and facilitating effective communication between customers and technicians.

Duties

• Greet customers promptly and professionally, addressing their automotive service needs.
• Conduct thorough assessments of customer vehicles to determine required services, including oil changes, brake repairs, and other maintenance tasks.
• Provide detailed explanations of services needed and associated costs to customers.
• Manage service appointments efficiently to optimize workflow in the shop.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain records of all transactions.
• Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services and repairs.
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Stay informed about dealership promotions, new products, and automotive technology advancements.

Skills

• Experience in auto service and familiarity with dealership operations is a plus.
• Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in financial transactions.
• Knowledge of brake repair processes and other essential automotive services.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers regarding technical information in an understandable manner.
• Experience in automotive sales is advantageous for upselling services and products.
• Skills in aligning vehicles and transmitting information between customers and the service team are essential.
