ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE The General Merchandise team is focused on operations, process efficiency, and creating a consistent shopping experience for our guests. This team leads the inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes across all General Merchandise areas of the store. The Inbound team specifically specializes in unloading deliveries and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. As an Inbound Operations Supervisor, you will gain skills and experience in: Building a guest-first culture among your team. Understanding retail fundamentals, including sales trends and inventory management. Planning workloads to achieve business priorities. Leading and developing a team of hourly employees, with skills in hiring, coaching, and retaining talent. Your typical day may include: Executing daily and weekly workloads to meet sales goals and enhance guest engagement. Leading operational processes and maintaining efficiency. Setting clear goals and holding team members accountable. Utilizing workload planning tools to keep merchandise areas ready for guests. Assigning tasks based on workload and guest traffic patterns. Working a flexible schedule based on guest and business needs. Assessing stock areas and identifying gaps for resolution. Ensuring product availability to enhance the customer experience. Assisting in leading organizational changes effectively. Building a well-rounded team through ongoing coaching and training. Supporting a culture of inclusivity and ethical conduct. Promoting a strong safety culture and addressing any hazards promptly. Engaging with guests in a welcoming manner. We seek candidates who: Enjoy engaging with guests and team members. Thrive in a dynamic and physically active environment. Are open to a flexible work schedule. The ideal candidate will have: A high school diploma or equivalent. Be at least 18 years old. Retail experience preferred, but not required. Ability to lead and motivate team members. Openness to learning and adapting to new technologies. The capacity to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong communication skills and a welcoming attitude. Additional Requirements: Ability to access all areas of the building. Ability to navigate instructions and reports effectively. Capability to manage cash operations as needed. Comfort with ladders and lifting merchandise up to 44 pounds.
