CNC Machine Shop Lead

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Lead CNC Machinist to oversee our machining operations. In this role, you will guide a team of machinists, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of CNC machinery, while upholding the highest standards of quality. Your expertise in CNC programming and troubleshooting will be crucial to our success.

• Oversee and coordinate CNC machinists to ensure production goals are achieved.
• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce precision components.
• Monitor job performance and implement adjustments to optimize production efficiency.
• Work with engineering to refine machining processes and resolve technical challenges.
• Train and mentor team members in CNC machining best practices and safety procedures.
• Perform regular inspections of machined parts to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to all regulations and policies.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining.
• Demonstrated expertise in CNC tooling and machine setups for production runs.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and G,D&T callouts.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• 10+ years of experience as a CNC machinist.
• 3+ years of offline programming experience (Mastercam preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of machining processes and tooling selection.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in a machining environment.
