We are looking for a skilled and certified Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting inventory. You will operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to support our shipping and receiving operations. A strong emphasis on safety, operational efficiency, and teamwork is essential for success in this position. We provide a secure work environment where adherence to safety regulations and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Stack and unstack pallets and materials in designated areas.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all company Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving manual Lifting when necessary.
- Understand and support the company's overall logistics strategy.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Strong understanding of Safety principles and procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting and bending.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
