Senior Manager, Solutions Architect Join Capital One as a Senior Manager in our Solutions Architect team within the Card Partnerships segment of Card Tech! Here, you'll collaborate with a group of talented technologists dedicated to defining, engineering, and managing innovative technology solutions for Capital One's Credit Card business, impacting millions of customers daily. The Card Partnerships segment focuses on creating Co-Branded and Private Label Credit Cards for leading companies across various industries. In this innovative role, you will lead the design and implementation of critical technology solutions across multiple Card Platforms. Collaborating with integrated business, technology, and operations teams, you'll contribute to architecture across broader Card and Enterprise teams, ensuring cohesive Partnerships solutions. Your Responsibilities: Lead the architecture design for multi-platform and cross-platform solutions. Conduct trade-off analyses for challenging technical decisions and manage potential conflicts. Show thought leadership and strategic direction in collaboration with product and delivery partners. Represent and explain solutions in Architecture Review Boards and other key discussions. Present work products and strategic initiatives to product managers and technology leadership within Capital One. Act as the primary point of contact for other architecture and delivery teams regarding solutions and systems. Continuously enhance your knowledge as technology needs evolve. The ideal candidate will: Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization. Exhibit mastery of facilitation and influence within teams and departments. Enjoy discussions and shared learning with a passionate team of technologists. Recognize the impact of short and long-term decisions and articulate these effects clearly. Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Have a proven track record leading technology, architecture, and software engineering activities at an enterprise scale. Be self-motivated with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Possess keen attention to detail and a passion for Architecture, Software Engineering, Technology, and Customer Experience. Exhibit intellectual curiosity and a desire to acquire new skills in business, technology, and architecture. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. At least 6 years of experience in Software Engineering and Systems Architecture or Technology Solution design. At least 2 years of experience creating solutions architectures in a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud). Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology. 7+ years of experience in software engineering. 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect in large, complex organizations. 8+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable and decoupled systems in a regulated technology environment. 3+ years of experience working with internal and external business clients. 3+ years of experience with AWS concepts and implementations. Experience engaging with and influencing technology executives. Experience mentoring software engineers or architects. Background in regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI, Privacy, etc.). Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels with appropriate technical depth and breadth. AWS or equivalent certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solution Architect-Associate, GCP or Azure). Location:
Chicago, IL The annual salary range for this position is $209,000 - $238,500. The role may also include performance-based incentive compensation, such as cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
