Summary: Meta is looking for a dynamic and skilled Production Systems Engineer to join our Hardware Design, Release to Production (HDRTP) team. Our mission is to innovate and deploy cutting-edge hardware systems that enhance Meta's products and services for billions of users globally. In this role, you'll have the chance to contribute to the delivery of AI technologies that support Meta's expansive offerings. Our Labs environment is fast-paced, constantly evolving, and fosters collaboration to tackle daily challenges. Key Responsibilities: Lead labs involvement in program design, testing phases, and retrospective assessments. Perform complex troubleshooting and diagnostics on new hardware platforms. Diagnose, repair, document, and provide feedback on Linux-based data center hardware platforms. Collaborate closely with remote hardware design and validation teams, as well as vendors, to deploy and oversee new server, storage, and networking products in the data center infrastructure. Test and troubleshoot new hardware products and components with minimal documentation and direction. Manage the complete lifecycle of lab hardware assets from installation to decommissioning. Identify, analyze, and determine root causes of hardware failures and errors. Work with hardware teams to conduct small-scale experiments, gather data, and provide insights on failure symptoms for lab and production servers. Facilitate coordination and communication across various data center operations teams. Drive initiatives to provide operational and serviceability feedback on new hardware platforms. Act as a local point of contact and subject matter expert regarding lab activities and new hardware for operations staff. Maintain an organized and efficient hardware test lab within the operational data center. Minimum Qualifications: Pursuing or recently attained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong experience in communicating effectively across multiple groups and varied types of work. Ability to influence and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Proven experience managing technical projects amidst high degrees of uncertainty. A minimum of 2 years of experience in core areas such as Capacity Planning, Networking, Project Management, Tooling and Automation, Hardware Design, Systems Administration, Hardware Validation (NPI), or Data Center Operations. At least 2 years of experience managing servers within a large-scale distributed environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with hardware debugging. Public Compensation: $118,000/year to $170,000/year plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Industry:
