What is the opportunity?

The Finance department is an integral part of providing a premium service to our clients and we are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to grow within the team. In this role, you will oversee loan transactions, prepare month-end and bank reconciliations, and support financial reporting and analysis. You will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Odyssey system, supporting testing for production releases and workflow enhancements related to the Optiom Portal. The role also includes preparing reports using Excel and PowerBI, supporting financing agreements and payments, and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes.

What will you do?

• Oversee loan transactions and monitor collection queues.
• Carry out testing of the Odyssey system, for push to production, be the Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Carry out testing of new workflows and enhancements within the Odyssey system, that are directly impacted from the Optiom Portal releases.
• Prepare reports as requested, using excel and PowerBI.
• Prepare month end reconciliations and journal entries for month end.
  
• Prepare Bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to continuously improve processes, make recommendations and implement changes.
• Provide support to other departments in managing financing agreements and payments.
• Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for the board.

What do you need to succeed?

• Degree in Business with Finance / Accounting.
• 4+ years of experience working in Finance / Accounting.
• Experience working with a premium financing portfolio preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, PowerBI, SharePoint and knowledgeable with program troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of large data records.
• Motivated individual who is focus driven, eager to learn and is an independent starter.
• Ability to learn and become an expert in key internal systems.
• Must be a team player.
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well across departments.
