New Adventures Montessori is a boutique, family-centered Montessori school rooted in love, intention, and deep respect for childhood.
Founded by three mothers who asked a simple but powerful question—What do we truly want for our children, and how do we create that in a school? —our community has grown from a small seed into a thriving learning environment where children, families, and educators feel genuinely seen and valued.
We are now seeking a Montessori Teaching Assistant who brings warmth, presence, and care to their work and who feels called to support young children during the rhythm of their day.
Who We Are
At New Adventures, learning is an adventure. We believe in nurturing a child's innate curiosity, honoring their individuality, and creating an environment that feels calm, joyful, and respectful. Our classrooms are intentionally prepared, and our team works closely together to support both children and one another.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Up to 35 hours per week
The Role
The Montessori Teaching Assistant supports both Toddler and Primary classrooms, helping maintain a peaceful flow to the day and providing attentive, loving care to children during transitions, routines, and afternoon activities.
Responsibilities
- Support Toddler and Primary classrooms with transitions, routines, and daily needs
- Supervise, comfort, and care for children during nap time
- Assist with transition routines while maintaining a calm, peaceful environment
- Engage children in age-appropriate, imaginative play and Montessori-aligned activities after school
- Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment both indoors and outdoors
- Model respectful communication and practice positive discipline
- Collaborate closely with lead teachers and staff to support classroom needs
What We Value (Our "Must-Haves")
- A good human. Kind, patient, and respectful toward children, families, and coworkers.
- A love for working with young children. You see children as capable, worthy individuals deserving of respect.
- A calm and cheerful presence. You help create emotional safety through your tone, energy, and consistency.
- A playful spirit. You enjoy imaginative play, storytelling, and engaging with children at their level.
- Team-oriented and flexible. You're happy to jump in where needed and support the classroom as a whole.
- Positive discipline minded. You guide children with empathy and clear, respectful boundaries.
Why Join New Adventures?
Because this is more than a support role—it's a meaningful place to grow. We care deeply about the people we choose to work beside and believe that when adults feel supported, children flourish.
Joining our team means becoming part of a community built on trust, collaboration, and love—for children and for the people guiding them each day.
