Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Assist in menu planning and development to ensure variety and quality
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
• Support food service operations during busy periods, including plating and garnishing dishes
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen workflow
• Participate in meal preparation for catering events as needed
• Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, preferably in fine dining or catering environments
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including knife skills and meal assembly
• Experience with menu planning and food presentation
• Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Culinary training or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
• Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes
