Job Summary
The Product Returns Specialist is a motivated, detail-oriented, and upbeat team player who owns the return process end-to-end. This role is responsible for managing the movement, tracking, and documentation of customer and company-owned product returns in alignment with GMP, GDP, ISO, and FDA regulations. The successful candidate will be self-directed, collaborative, and energized by cross-functional problem-solving.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the responsibilities listed below, as reasonably required by evolving business needs.

  • Manage the end-to-end Return Materials Authorization (RMA) process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • Inspect and verify returned equipment for decontamination, condition, and completeness
  • Log and disposition returned products in ERP and CRM systems (SAP, Salesforce), ensuring alignment with current standards
  • Support field equipment retrieval and conduct audits to maintain inventory integrity
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Logistics, Quality, and Customer Service to resolve issues and ensure timely returns processing
  • Analyze return data and trends to support continuous improvement and root cause identification
  • Proactively identify and escalate missing, damaged, or misrouted equipment
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and contribute to high-impact projects as operational needs evolve
  • Promote a team-first culture while consistently delivering on Cynosure's standard of "Exceptional Everyday"

Qualifications
Education
☒ High School degree/equivalent required

☐ Education And Experience Combination
☒ Associate's degree is equivalent to 18 months of experience

Specific Area of Study: Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience in the medical device industry.

Experience
☒ 1 to 2 years relevant experience

Specific Related Experience: Minimum 1+ year of inventory management experience.

  • Familiarity with RMA workflows, inventory control, and warehousing best practices
  • Experience working with electro-mechanical devices; medical laser systems preferred
  • Analytical skills to identify return trends and recommend process improvements
  • High attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; able to document clearly and escalate appropriately
  • Effective cross-functional collaborator and dependable team player
  • Self-directed, adaptable, and motivated to take initiative and prioritize workload independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
