Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs to facilitate effective service planning
• Explain repair recommendations clearly, including auto estimating and service writing, ensuring customers understand their options and costs
• Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and communicate updates to customers throughout the service process
• Promote additional services such as oil changes, tire service, alignments, brake repair, suspension work, and transmission diagnostics to enhance customer value
• Manage cash handling transactions accurately while maintaining detailed records of services performed and parts used
• Upsell appropriate maintenance services by leveraging automotive diagnostics knowledge and mechanical understanding to meet customer needs
• Maintain a thorough understanding of dealership or shop operations related to auto service management and automotive repair procedures

Skills

• Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
• Skilled in auto estimating software, service writing, and sales techniques to maximize revenue opportunities
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, tire services, alignments, shocks & struts, brake repairs, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, suspension work, and auto body repair
• Familiarity with automotive components such as transmissions and shocks & struts enhances your ability to assist customers effectively
• Experience handling cash transactions accurately while providing exceptional service during high-volume periods
• Ability to work collaboratively with technicians on complex repairs involving automotive diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting
