Position Overview

The Instructional Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and developing high-quality learning materials and programs that align with organizational goals and enhance employee performance. This role collaborates closely with business units and training partners to create effective, engaging, and scalable learning solutions across classroom, virtual, and self-paced environments.

This position works under minimal supervision and supports training needs throughout the full lifecycle of instructional content.

Required Skill Sets

• Expertise in e-learning tools
• Knowledge of adult learning theories and methodologies
• Strong visual design and content development skills
• Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage instructional design projects and initiatives within a business unit and/or across the organization
• Develop instructional courses tailored to meet desired learning outcomes and learner needs
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement strategies that improve employee performance
• Advise and assist trainers on course evaluation results
• Collaborate with others to plan and design courses and curricula; ensure accuracy of content and test multimedia elements
• Conduct needs assessments to provide customized training or performance improvement solutions
• Create and edit LMS learning activities; set up training assignments and create custom LMS reports
• Create dynamic instructional and training materials using current technologies, references, and support tools
• Develop and test course content, training games, graphic designs, and other technology-driven products
• Develop classroom, online, and self-paced learning content that drives knowledge
