Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing changes in condition; report findings accurately and promptly
• Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking
• Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to ensure safe transfers and mobility support
• Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents in accordance with privacy standards
• Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia by implementing personalized routines and engaging activities
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment in compliance with health standards
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow individualized care plans that meet each client's unique needs
• Provide emotional support and companionship to foster social engagement and reduce feelings of isolation

Skills

• Proven experience in home & community care or assisted living environments, especially with seniors or individuals with disabilities
• Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures to ensure client safety at all times
• Familiarity with working in group homes, nursing homes, or hospice settings is highly desirable
• Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior promptly
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; physical stamina for extended periods of caregiving tasks
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory-related conditions such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients' families and healthcare teams
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality at all times
• Compassionate approach combined with patience, adaptability, and a genuine desire to improve clients' quality of life

Pay: $ $17.50 per hour
