Hotel Maintenance Technician

The Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to join our engineering department. Whether you are an experienced maintenance professional or someone with a "handy" background looking to learn a trade, we want to hear from you. While experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate who brings a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

Schedule:

• Full-time position
• Rotating weekends (Every other weekend off)
• Some holidays off
• Start Date: ASAP

What You Will Do (Responsibilities):

• Guest Room Care: Perform preventive maintenance on guest rooms to ensure everything from lights to locks are working perfectly.
• HVAC: Perform basic troubleshooting on PTAC units (heating/cooling).
• Pool Care: Assist with pool cleaning and chemical monitoring.
• General Repair: Handle basic plumbing (clogs, leaks) and electrical tasks (changing outlets/switches/bulbs).
• Cosmetic Upkeep: Perform painting, drywall patching, and furniture touch-ups to keep the hotel looking fresh.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with the Head Maintenance Supervisor and Housekeeping team to resolve guest complaints quickly.

• Reliable: You have strictly reliable transportation to St. Simons Island.
• Personable: You have good communication skills and are comfortable interacting with hotel guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• A Problem Solver: You enjoy fixing things and can work independently without constant supervision.
• Teachable: If you don't know how to fix it, you are eager to learn how.

Requirements:

• Must have reliable transportation (Required).
• Previous maintenance, construction, or handyman experience is a plus, but not required.
• CPO (Certified Pool Operator) or HVAC certification is a huge plus, but not required.
• Ability to stand, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs as needed.

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
