Austin Neurological Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient intake, including taking vital signs and recording medical histories
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization
  • Support physicians and medical staff during patient exams and procedures
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Handle administrative duties, including answering phones, responding to patient inquiries, and managing office tasks

Job Description:

  • Rooming patients
  • Taking vital signs
  • Verifying patient information
  • Administering injections
  • Assisting with procedures
  • Cleaning and preparing patient rooms
  • Answering phone calls
  • Managing inbound and outbound calls
  • Scanning and processing documents

Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or certification in Medical Assisting preferred)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in using EHR software and office equipment
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a strong commitment to care.
