Food Runner and Hostess

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food Runner and Hosts to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role is vital in ensuring guests have an exceptional dining experience by providing excellent guest services, managing table assignments, and supporting the kitchen staff with timely food delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a welcoming attitude, and experience in hospitality or food service environments.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlist or reservations efficiently
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus with enthusiasm
• Take and relay food orders accurately to the kitchen staff using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to tables, ensuring presentation standards are maintained
• Assist servers in maintaining cleanliness and organization of dining areas
• Handle guest inquiries courteously and provide information about menu items or restaurant policies
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold hospitality standards at all times
• Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring guest satisfaction
• Manage phone etiquette for reservations, inquiries, or takeout orders when needed

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience in hospitality, serving, or guest services is advantageous
• Ability to handle phone inquiries professionally and courteously
• Knowledge of hotel or guest relations experience is beneficial but not required
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and work efficiently during busy hours
• A positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
