Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily X-rays, to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, with preferably experience in various clinical settings including hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, urgent care, and trauma centers. The X-ray Technician will work closely with medical staff to ensure accurate imaging and patient care while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays on patients across diverse clinical settings including outpatient Urgent care setting.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring proper positioning, and adjusting equipment accordingly.
  • Maintain patient safety by adhering to radiation safety protocols and using protective shielding when necessary.
  • Assist with patient intake, including recording vital signs and relevant medical history.
  • Operate EHR systems to document procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Support medical staff with administrative tasks related to imaging services, including ICD coding and documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform routine quality checks to ensure optimal functioning.
  • Follow infection control protocols and uphold patient privacy standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

  • Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist with valid state licensure.
  • Proven experience in clinical environments such as hospital, urgent care and outpatient clinics.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration related to diagnostic imaging.
  • Experience working with various patient populations including internal medicine.
  • Ability to operate advanced imaging equipment safely and effectively in fast-paced environments such as urgent care or hospital settings.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred.
  • Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse patient groups.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation purposes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to patient diagnosis and care within a dynamic healthcare environment that values expertise in radiologic procedures across multiple specialties.

Medical Assistant – Urgent Care (Responsibilities)

Summary:
The Medical Assistant supports providers and ensures smooth, efficient patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Clinical Duties

  • Prepare patients for visits; verify identity and obtain vitals
  • Document intake, history, medications, and allergies in EMR
  • Assist with exams, procedures, splinting, wound care, and injections (per scope)
  • Perform point-of-care testing (strep, flu, COVID, UA, glucose, etc.)
  • Collect and label lab specimens; assist with EKGs and X-ray prep (if trained)
  • Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and follow infection-control protocols

Administrative Duties

  • Support patient flow and communicate updates to front/back office
  • Provide patient education and instructions
  • Assist with referrals, authorizations, and follow-up documentation
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate charting

Customer Service & Operations

  • Greet patients warmly and ensure a positive experience
  • Assist with opening/closing duties and daily clinic operations
  • Work collaboratively with staff and providers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
