We are looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our operations in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is essential for maintaining the functionality and efficiency of our warehouse equipment and facilities. The Warehouse Technician will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure all machinery operates safely and effectively. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, performing minor repairs, and coordinating with external vendors for major service needs. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is required, along with a commitment to workplace safety. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, palletizers).
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
- Order and manage spare parts inventory.
- Collaborate with third-party service providers for specialized repairs.
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean and safe condition.
- Comply with all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a warehouse or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations, including lockout/tagout.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with various types of warehouse equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to safety and the use of PPE is mandatory.
