Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. The Nursing Assistant will assist with daily living activities and ensure the comfort and safety of patients.

Duties

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff.
• Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and wheelchairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Support patients with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Critical care experience or ICU experience
• Long-term care experience or assisted living
• Hospital experience in various departments including emergency medicine, pediatrics, or geriatrics
• Working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs
• Phlebotomy skills and medication administration knowledge
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge
• Experience using EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation practices
