POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Practice Director is a nurse practitioner or physician assistant who is responsible for Market level oversight of Clinical Practice, Quality, and Performance of all Bluestone Providers in Florida.  

Reporting to the SVP of Clinical Practice, the Clinical Practice Director functions independently using effective leadership skills. The Clinical Practice Director works closely with other clinical and market leaders to ensure collaboration regarding provider development and practice implementation. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  1. Oversight and assurance of Clinical Quality
    1. Ensure individual provider practice is of excellent quality 
    2. Review benchmark indicators for teams and address or escalate concerns.
    3. Assist with roll-out of clinic wide initiatives and quality goals 
  1. Recruitment 
    1. Involvement in candidate selection process either via interview or field shadow 
    2. Approval of APP practice model (collaborative vs team) 
    3. Involvement in team growth and build out  
  1. Onboarding of new Providers 
    1. Ensures completion of training process  
    2. Mentorship on practice management 
    3. Clinical evaluation in conjunction with Collaborating Physician 
    4. Assurance of audits and follow up 
  1. Management of individual Advanced Practice Providers
    1. Periodic 1-1 check-ins
    2. Assist with implementing agreed-upon practice standards
    3. Addresses or escalates barriers/issues and provides solutions
    4. Annual Performance Reviews 
  1. Collaboration with Primary Care Director and Physician Lead regarding Physician Quality and adherence to Bluestone policies 
    1. Periodic 1-1 check-ins
    2. Assist with implementing agreed-upon practice standards
    3. Addresses or escalates barriers/issues and provides solutions
    4. Annual Performance Reviews 
  1. Owner of Market Provider meetings with Physician Lead as co-facilitator 
  1. Periodic Market related Bluestone promotional and/or social events outside of Provider meetings

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Education program
  • Five (5) or more years of practice experience
  • Must have proven ability and desire to be a leader within the Bluestone provider group 
  • Experience in former leadership roles preferred, but not required
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with strong verbal and written skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and minimum state required liability auto insurance

  • Working Conditions

  • Work Environment-This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, tablets, phones and copiers.
  • Physical Demands-This is primarily a sedentary role working indoors; however, some walking is required.  The position would require the ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds and bend or stand as necessary
  • Up to 50-75% travel within the prescribed market
