We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our busy warehouse in Los Angeles, California. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. Your primary focus will be on managing stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing processes to improve overall inventory accuracy. This position is key to our Logistics operations, ensuring we have the right products in the right place at the right time. Your dedication to Safety and detail will be crucial.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy of stock records.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and improve efficiency.
- Manage the receipt, identification, and put-away of inventory items.
- Monitor stock levels and generate reports on inventory status, aging, and movement.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., shipping, receiving) to ensure seamless operations.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely when required, maintaining compliance with Safety standards.
- Ensure all Lifting protocols are followed during inventory handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for all inventory-related transactions.
- Proper use and maintenance of PPE is mandatory.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in WMS software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a Logistics environment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety procedures.
