The role

You will be a W-2 employee of StopAHack working as an
AWS Solutions Architect – Modernization Specialist
assigned to deliver
AWS
architecture and modernization services for a consulting partner and its enterprise customers. You will act as a primary technical authority for designing and implementing
production-grade AWS solutions
and modernization initiatives. Day-to-day work is coordinated by partner project leads and end client stakeholders. End client identities remain confidential until you complete interviews and required background checks.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end
  AWS solution architecture
  for modernization programs including
  application refactoring
  ,
  re-platforming
  ,
  re-hosting
  , and legacy system replacement.
• Design secure, resilient, and scalable AWS architectures across
  compute
  (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda),
  storage
  (S3, EBS, EFS),
  databases
  (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB), and integration services.
• Build and evolve
  networking and connectivity
  patterns including
  VPC
  design, subnets, routing, security groups, NACLs,
  Transit Gateway
  ,
  VPN
  , and
  Direct Connect
  .
• Apply the
  AWS Well-Architected Framework
  to assess environments, identify risks, and drive remediation across operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization.
• Establish
  Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
  standards and delivery patterns using
  CloudFormation
  ,
  CDK
  , and
  Terraform
  , including reusable modules, guardrails, and automated environment provisioning.
• Define
  security architecture
  and controls for cloud workloads including
  IAM
  least privilege,
  KMS
  encryption, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and incident-ready designs.
• Partner with platform, application, and security teams to deliver
  reference architectures
  ,
  HLD/LLD
  documentation, runbooks, and change plans for production deployments.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud issues across networking, identity, application performance, and availability, performing
  root-cause analysis
  and driving corrective actions.
• Mentor engineers and enable delivery teams through
