Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Special Education Teacher located in Memphis, TN. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, modifying curriculum and instruction to meet diverse needs, and collaborating with other educators and staff. The role includes daily tasks such as teaching and supporting a small caseload of K-8 students, monitoring progress, and maintaining open communication with parents and guardians to ensure a comprehensive approach to each student's education.

Qualifications

• Experience in Special Education and working with students with Disabilities
• Teaching skills
• Strong Communication skills with staff, students, and families
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Excellent organizational and teamwork skills
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or related field
• Relevant teaching certifications and licenses in SPED and/or Interventionist
• Experience working in an inclusive and culturally diverse environment
