We are seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in San Francisco, California. This role is central to our Logistics operations, ensuring that all products are accurately prepared, documented, and dispatched to our valued customers. You will be responsible for managing outgoing shipments, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining up-to-date shipping records. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational abilities, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to adhering to all Safety protocols. We are dedicated to providing a secure and productive work environment, which includes providing appropriate PPE. This is a great chance to be a part of a fast-paced shipping department.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Verify that order details match the items being shipped.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide status updates to internal teams and customers.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all shipping activities.
- Address and resolve any shipping-related issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations and company policies.
- Package items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse's outbound Logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related role is required.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and generating documentation.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting as needed.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Must be comfortable wearing required PPE.
